My blog’s been very quiet lately and I have a good reason. I’ve been busy dealing with day-to-day life & making adjustments to it due to my Cardiomyopathy. It’s not been easy adjusting to the number of pills I have to take & how my quality of life has changed. Until March this year, I was having difficulty breathing whilst walking around. I had to rest frequently as I was getting fatigued often during the day. Work was an absolute nightmare because the more I tried to be normal again then the worse I got.

Everything started to change for me when I was prescribed Disopyramide, which is an anti-arrhythmia drug for Cardiomyopathy patients like myself who have an obstruction in their heart. Even since then, my condition has improved but not enough for me to be working for a living. I honestly find it hard to be ill but I see it as a challenge to be overcome, beaten by me. I started to feel like the guy in the photo with the kitten in the hoody again.
Without this pill, I don’t think I could have coped with travelling to America for a much-needed holiday In July, It was really great. I got to spend time with my sister in law & visit Hyannis in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Boston & Great Wolf Lodge. The weather was a bit too warm for me but I stayed hydrated and did my best to have as much fun as my wife & kids did. The reason why there are links to Hyannis main street & the lodge is they are both great places to visit & I highly recommend Flashback Bar & Grill which is a retro gaming-themed place I visited on holiday. I’m finally finding the old me again.
